Jessica obtained her Bachelors of Music Education at the University of Indianapolis, with Indianapolis being her native home. Her private instruction experience spans back to her early teens, when she began piano, violin, and viola instruction. Jessica was nominated as an Outstanding Future Music Educator by the Indiana Music Educators Association in 2022 and she has been repeatedly recognized for her skill and scholarship by Mu Phi Epsilon Beta Psi.
Her teaching philosophy reflects that loving music is the most fundamental value of musical instruction, and that the balance of proper technique and positive attitude creates the medium in which students can learn to love and enjoy music independently. Jessica takes pride in expanding her students’ overall musical knowledge and exposing her students to the possibilities of violin and beyond.
Outside of the practice room, Jessica enjoys painting, reading, spending time with her cat, and practicing yoga. She believes in having a well rounded lifestyle to stimulate focused and healthy minds and is a proponent of using principles of the Alexander Technique and simple yoga poses to help students master the art of relaxation and flexibility in relation to musical practice.
