Where are you located?
We are located inside of Avon Community Church of God at 2309 N County Road 800 E, Avon, IN 46123
What level of students do you teach?
At Gain Music Academy we are proud to have a broad range of teachers to meet students every need. We are able to teach brand new beginners all the way up to advanced musicians. We pride ourselves in sending well prepared musicians off to College auditions.
Each student who has been prepped for their particular University Music Program through our Academy has not only been accepted in the first round of auditions, but also offered varying levels of scholarships for music.
How often are lessons held?
We have found that lessons once a week tend to work best. This allows for time for the student to put enough practice in to learn the material given each week before having new skills added.
We will accommodate if you would like to do more than one weekly lesson as we recognize everyone learns differently and sometimes students need extra hands on instruction.
How much do lessons cost?
We offer a wide variety of lesson lengths to fit your budget. Please contact with us here or view our studio policies get prices for your specific needs and instrument.
What other opportunities does Gain Music Academy offer?
We work alongside local public school orchestra programs to properly prepare students for Solo, Group and Orchestral ISSMA Solo and Ensemble.
We offer opportunities during the year for students to perform at community events and competitions. We also offer group ensemble classes. (These opportunities are currently on hold due to COVID.) We hold two structured recitals a year, the Informal Recital and the Formal Recital.
What are Master Classes?
Gain Music Academy provides monthly Master Classes that are currently FREE to those enrolled in the Academy. These are group classes that are focused on perfecting verbal musical communication and performance skills.
We also focus on specific skill sets like scale playing, musicality, and technical execution of your instrument. These are attended by all of the GMA teachers so your student is getting input not from simply one teacher but several. We also have guests from prestigious University Programs who come to share their expertise with our students.
Will this be fun?
YES! We work hard to balance fun with focused learning. We are big on relationships here at the Academy to foster a long term love of learning the musical arts.
Will this be hard?
YES! Learning a musical instrument is not an easy task but we work hard to break the learning down in easy bite size pieces to not discourage students as the work hard to learn very challenging instruements.
